This is a gathering for those moments and for those who feel the call to remain in relationship with life, even in these times of deep challenge.
Earth Warrior is a place to lay the weight of the world down for a moment—together—and reconnect with our Earth mother, with all the beings who call her home, and with the deep knowing that anchors our work in meaning, and love.

...when the scale of what we face leaves you tired, tender, or quietly overwhelmed.
Earth Warrior is a place to come as you are—

...to remember why you care,
...and to reconnect with the deeper ground that sustains your work and those who, like you honour and sustain Her.
Together we gather in community, on land, listening again for the quiet thread of hope rooted in relationship.
Why This Gathering Matters Now
We are living through a time of profound unraveling.
The climate crisis, biodiversity loss, social fragmentation, wars, and political instability are no longer distant possibilities.
They are part of the landscape of our daily lives.
For those who care deeply about the Earth and the future of life, this can bring waves of grief, anger, and exhaustion.
And yet, across the world, countless people continue to show up—
teaching, healing, organizing, creating, protecting, and serving.
Many of them carry this devotion quietly.
Often without spaces where the emotional weight of that commitment can be shared, honoured, and transformed.
Earth Warrior is a small offering in response to this moment.
A place where those who love the world deeply can come together on the land, reconnect with one another, and remember that the work of healing our relationship with the Earth is not meant to be carried alone.
From this place of reconnection, something else becomes possible:
Not blind optimism,
but the grounded courage that comes from belonging to a living world—and to a community that cares.
This is the soil from which Active Hope grows.
Who We Are Calling In
This retreat is for those already walking a path of service to life, or those who are feeling the call to do so.
Those who care deeply.
Those who keep showing up.
Those who know their work—yet long to be resourced by something deeper than effort alone.
You may be:
An Activist or Movement Builder
Working toward ecological or social transformation, carrying both devotion and grief.
A Healer, Therapist, or Facilitator
Used to holding space for others, and ready to be held in a circle of peers.
An Artist or Culture-Shaper
Whose creativity responds to the times we are living through.

Working within institutions while holding a deeper vision for the flourishing of life.

Committed to change-making, seeking time away from urgency to reconnect with shared purpose and relationship.
Note: Teams are invited to stay an additional day on the land, making space to reflect together, deepen trust, and integrate insights without the usual pressures and distractions. Contact us to know more.
A Circle of Peers
Earth Warrior is not led in the traditional sense.
While the space is held with care and guidance, those who gather are invited to meet one another as peers—each bringing their own wisdom, grief, courage, and devotion.
Many who come are people who normally hold space for others.
Here, we remember how to hold it together.
The Land That Holds Us
Earth Warrior unfolds on an organic community farm in the wide valley of the Stó:lō (named Fraser River by settlers), surrounded by mountains and sky.
Here, the land itself becomes part of the gathering.
We move slowly.
We listen.
We remember ourselves as part of a living world.
Honouring the Ancestral Stewards of this Land
This gathering takes place on lands that have been cared for since time immemorial by Indigenous peoples whose relationship with this place continues today.
We acknowledge that the valley, the river, and the surrounding mountains hold histories, teachings, and responsibilities far older than our gathering.
As we come together here, we do so with gratitude for the land that hosts us and with respect for the Indigenous Nations whose stewardship has shaped it (the Stó:lō people of the Cheam First Nation, Seabird Island First Nation, Skwah First Nation, and Kwaw-kwaw-a-pilt First Nation, and likely many more).
May our time here deepen our commitment to living in ways that honour the Earth and all those who belong to her.

Over These Days Together
We will gather on the land in the valley of the Fraser River where mountains hold the horizon and the river moves steadily toward the sea.
Over these days together we will:

🌱 create and reflect through art and story
🌱 step into ritual and shared reverence
🌱 sit with grief, joy, anger, and love
🌱 spend precious moments with hands and feet in soil

🌱 rest in the quiet companionship of land and community
There will be time for stillness.
Time for laughter and tears.
Time for the unexpected.
Nothing will be forced.
Everything will be offered as invitation.
What unfolds will belong to the energetic field we create together.
A Devotional Space
Earth Warrior is rooted in reverence for life.
We will gather in ritual, song, movement, and quiet presence with the land.
Not as performance or belief—but as remembrance.
We honour the intelligence of the body, the wisdom of the Earth, the depth of soul, and the mystery that moves through all living things.
Meet Your Circle of Hosts and Facilitators
Earth Warrior is held by a small circle of facilitators devoted to the healing of relationships; between people, the living Earth, and the deeper intelligence that moves through all life.
Each of us brings different practices, lineages, and lived experience.
Together, we hold a space where grief, devotion, creativity, and courage can coexist.
Rather than standing apart from the circle, we gather with you—guiding the arc of the retreat while honouring the wisdom that emerges collectively from the group and the land.
A Closing Prayer
May this gathering nourish the courage it takes to love the world in these times.
May it remind us that grief is not the opposite of hope,
but one of its roots.
May we leave more connected—
to the Earth beneath our feet,
to the communities we serve,
and to the quiet knowing that our efforts matter.
And may the circle we create together ripple outward
in ways we cannot yet imagine.
